GRANTS

Why we do it...

In 1994 the Florida Legislature enacted Florida Statute 1003-42 requiring public school instruction about the watershed event in the history of humanity, the Holocaust. inSIGHT is dedicated to providing educational grants for teachers K-12 to fulfill this Mandate.

In 2020 the Florida Legislature enacted House Bill 1213 adding the policy, definition, examples, and prevention of anti-Semitism to the required public school instruction regarding the history of the Holocaust.

The bill designates the second week in November as “Holocaust Education Week” in recognition of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, a precipitating event that led up to the Holocaust.
